Some musings from me, prompted by last week's graduation ceremonies at Dundee University, plus this week's graduation ceremonies at St Andrews University.

I have vague memories of my StA PhD graduation. I was the first in the group so I got the full spiel before being bopped on the head with a beanbag, rather than the rest of the group who got (in Latin) "and you, too".

They may well send you - unprompted or if asked - a digital copy of your graduation in the coming years. We were really disappointed not to get our 1994 ones. Though we saw Dave Munro’s PhD graduation clip from another ceremony the same week as ours (next day I think).

We bought the VHS copy of our ceremony in 1994, but if we still have it, we don't know where it is. Or we'd have lent it to the alumni folk to digitise.
