vivdunstanPicking my next fiction read, which I think will be Scarlet by Genevieve Cogman, an author best known for the Invisible Library series of books. Scarlet is an alternative take on the Scarlet Pimpernel, combining the French Revolution with vampires. That sounds like a fun read.

Date: 2024-05-26 08:26 pm (UTC)Non-spoilery observation: I was half-expecting her to put one particular big twist in it, which she didn't. I read in an interview/blog later that she'd thought about it, but didn't go down that route in the end.
